Wht not visit Parliament ?

Ben encourages school groups from Wirral to visit the Houses of Parliament and learn about democracy in action. Wherever possible, he also likes to meet students for a Question and Answer session and to hear their views.

Tours

Parliamentary tour guides take groups of up to 20 around the Palace of Westminster free of charge at these times:

Monday - 0900-1200

Tuesday & Wed - 0900-0920 / 0925-1200 partial tour  

Thursday - No tours

Sitting Fridays - 1530-1700

Non-sitting Fridays - 0930-1700

Partial tours are when the Commons is sitting but the Lords, who sit at different times, is not. Ben is happy to take tours of smaller groups around the Palace of Westminster and meet larger groups for coffee after the tour.

Gallery Tickets - Every MP gets a few pairs of tickets for Strangers (the public) Gallery. About 2 or 3 of the pairs will be for Wednesday and can be used for Prime Minister's Questions. These tickets are very popular and you are advised to contact us well in advance if you would like to visit on a Wednesday. For a list of allocation dates contact Ben's office in the house of Commons on the number given under 'Contact me'.

We do not have a waiting list and we have not yet been informed of the dates of our allocation in the next parliamentary session.

As Member of Parliament, Ben has dealt with thousands of cases on behalf of local residents, ranging from housing and benefit issues, to immigration, Dee estuary conservation, anti-social behaviour, tunnel fairs, funding streams, recycling, to disputes with water and gas companies. He holds surgeries in all wards in the constituency on a regular basis as well as in supermarkets for the convenience of constituents. Ben has attended hundreds of community events and is pleased to listen to the many groups and individuals and take their points and ideas back to Westminster.
